Front mount intercoolers serve as a solid foundation for your turbo system and allows you to unleash more power.The race version intercooler is designed for larger than stock turbo upgrades and custom turbo set-ups.
Why should I buy the race core over the street front-mount intercooler?
The Race Front-Mount Intercooler Replacement Kit is designed for the power and boost levels in the 450 to 550 hp Range with an upgraded turbo. What that means is that the Race Front Mount intercooler begins to see heatsoak and become inefficient within the 550 to 600 hp range.
The Race Intercooler has been running on our in our MK4 1.8T setups running in excess of 500 hp. If you plan to run your motor in this range then this is the kit for you.
